Abstract Project (value study)
This is a picture of my first semester exam of ninth grade in art. During the semester we saw many things including different art techniques, so in this project we had to use some of these techniques and create something abstract. We had to create the abstract part by following some instructions like draw one line across the paper and that line you could do it the way you wanted but it had to me across the paper, also things like draw five shapes and different sizes and more instructions like those; that way we created the abstract drawing. For the painting par we had to use some techniques like gradation, pointillism and cross-hatching. But for the painting we had to do like seven shapes fill in with gradation, same for pointillism and cross-hatching. But this was not it then we had to fill a odd number of shapes with a dark color which I did it black and the rest of project because it was a project In which we had a lot of liberty to create an abstract drawing and because each of this was very original. I think that creativity is one of the most important things for a person in art because if you have creativity many more people would like your drawing or paintings and because through creativity you can express easier what you want to be expressed, for example I wanted something very passive and happy so I choose to use colors more lighter than darker and I used many different designs like a little rainbow, or circles with two different colors and many things like that. Lastly I think that being original is very important because if you copy someone else’s and it looks similar and you use the same designs it would not look so good because there is another one so for people to be interested in yours you have to be original, and that was what this project was about.
