Face Proportion with Clay

Picture
During the third partial we saw about Face proportion and we learned how the face of a human rely is. We first did it on paper we draw a face with a shape of oval, and then we divided it on half. The half part that was in the lower part of the face we divided it again in half and from the first line of half to the other was the to see how long was the nose. Then the first line of the half we divided it on five so first space live it on blank next was an eye then was the noses wide then the other eye and then blank. Then the second half line we divided it again so we could have the chin and the mouth. Then we draw the ears that were the same longitude as the nose and we finished. Then we wanted to do this with clay so we had to do for the head we had to do and oval and a neck. Then we had to do two holes for the eyes we put the eye the pupil and then the eye lids then we had to do a three dimensional triangle for the nose and with a stick the holes for the nose, then we did a large hole for the mouth and we added lips then we did the ears and last the hair. We let it dry for like a week and then we painted it. I think it was much more difficult to do it with clay because we had more details and it was little so we had to be very careful also because in paper we could divide the face with ruler but with clay we couldn’t have lines in our face and it was difficult to use a ruler in an oval, but I enjoy more doing it with clay because it is very original and in paper the eyes can end looking different the nose is not the way you wanted and the mouth many people have trouble drawing it because is shows the expression of the person as same as the eye brows so with clay make it look happy or the way you wanted because it was easy to repeat since it was clay.
